Have a son coming in a few days. Earl was my grandfather.|||Since you are posting on an international forum, it's hard to know Jude Earl Zimmerman's life dates or where he lived, who he married, or what he did, so it's rather difficult to form an opinion about the man. The only Jude Earl Zimmerman I found on Ancestry.com was a registered voter in California in the 1940s, which makes him a public-spirited citizen. However, I still don't know for sure if that Jude Earl Zimmerman is your grandfather. Although your grandfather is very important to you, he's not a household name.
A quick google also discovers that you've posted similar questions on at least three different web sites, so it's very clear that you're equally proud of your grandfather and his great grandson to be. Congratulations!
P. S. -- I also like the idea of including your grandfather's name in your son's given name.|||I think...this has nothing to do with royalty, and should be posted in baby names.
