I'm thinking of applying for a hostess position at Earl's while I'm in school, what's the pay? Do you get a cut of the waitresses tips?
Thanks x|||All restaurants that are a chain share the tips among waitresses and the hostesses, but I think hostesses usually get a lower cut.
By the way, I LOVE Earls waitresses. I always tip extra (20%) because of the short skirts and lovely tight dresses. Same at Cactus Club. So the pay should be good.|||Most pay the basic minimum for that province, plus a small percentage is set aside by the waitstaff to go to the host/hostess, bar staff an bus people, so in the space where it asks for wage, just put open, most people do not put anything as it is well known, but I would just write open for them to discuss it with you, it is set by head office any ways.

How did Kanda Yuu escape the Earl's notice?
Kanda is Japanese, but Japan has been under reign of the Earl for almost 300 years. No one can go in or out, and all trade has been banned. So how did Kanda's becoming an exorcist go unnoticed? |||I'm not quite sure. It doesn't talk about Kanda's past. The only thing we know is about his curse from the lotus flower, and that he says he won't die until he finds 'That person'. But the person was never specified.

Was anyone else upset when My Name Is Earl was cancelled?
I loved My Name Is Earl and I was so upset when it got cancelled. Some people didn't like season 3 but the show really picked up again come the 4th as it went back to it's original format.
To end it on a cliffhanger was so annoying.

NBC cancelled it based on a drop in viewers. But NBC really screwed them. After the writers strike they really stretched out the season by not showing on consecutive Thursdays, especially towards the end. One week there would be an episode, then the following two Thursdays would have a "special presentation" of some other crap. It made it hard for viewers to keep up or stay interested.
But in all fairness each season did get less original and more gross humor, example: rhino-mans horn in Nescobars butt. I would hate to see it go on too much longer but the show deserved fair closure.|||i started watching the show after it went to syndication. for some weird reason, i didnt like it when i saw the original airings. (same thing happened with the Drew Carey show in the 90's

The show started it's run well with and average of 12 million viewers in it's first season but by the end of season 3 the show had lost nearly 4 million of those viewers. I agree with you that season 4 was an improvement but it wasn't enough to save the show from cancellation. The many fans of the show had hopes that the show could continue on another network but the negotiations with TBS and others failed mostly for financial reasons.
Jason Lee the star of the show is about to premier in a new show on USA network called Memphis Beat' .

Ok, I have been ill for the past two weeks. I've started drinking hot tea as I am constantly being told that. I drink Earl Grey tea with my sickness. What is the secret? I find that drinking earl grey really perks me up too when I feel the onset of a cold. I think it's something to do with the hot water, aromatic qualities of the bergamot (which, while a citrus fruit, has doubtful contributions in that area) and the fact you're probably drinking it without milk (milk being something to avoid, as lactic acid contributes to phlem).
