Are all Earl's restaurants horrible places to work?

My daughter has been working at an Earl's for 3 years now. Often they will give her a shift and when she shows up after planning her whole day around working and spending two hours looking fabulous, she is sent home because they scheduled too many girls. This happens regularly. They get away with not paying her the three hours since they make it (cough cough) voluntary. Voluntary is in you can offer to leave or you can get fired.|||Tell her to quit, they are playing her, call 3 people, see who shows up. Send her to college.|||She should find another job, then quit. Overscheduling the staff is probably Earls way of covering their behind if someone doesn't show, but it's not a very good practice
