James Earl Jones as supporting actor in this movie about forgiveness?

My uncle watched a movie early this morning (Dec 24th). He's not sure the channel or the title, and so we're searching here. He played as a man who had rescued his boss's father during WW2. At some time, he accidentally killed a man in self-defense and his boss took the blame. The man who had been killed's brother threw a molotov cocktail through the boss's window and killed his daughter. In the end, there's lots of forgiveness and all that jazz. Any idea of the title of the movie?|||There is a remote possibility you may be referring to "The Five People You Meet In Heaven". I am not certain as it has been a long time since I read the novel by Mitch Alblom and saw the movie version of it starring Jon Voight. Both the book and the movie were excellent pieces of work. If it turns out not to be what you are seeking, your uncle would certainly enjoy it just the same as the plot structure and developement are very similar.|||Wahooo!!! No idea of the title, but James Earl Jones is coming back!!! Wahooo!!!
