Did the last episode of my name is earl end in a cliffhanger?

I recently bought the fourth season on dvd and the last episode of the set ends in a to be continued...did greg garcia really end the show this way?|||I watched it all on netflix and it totally ended unfinished!! So frustrating right?!|||it wasn't up to the writer/producer- the show was Cancelled by the Network After they had already filmed that episode





most cancellations/renewals are annouced in May- After the seasons have been filmed- that is why so many shows are left Hanging|||Greg Garcia didn't end the show that way, it got canceled, as amazing as a show it was, it didn't get high enough viewers, so the network cut it out on a cliffhanger.|||The network told him to go ahead and do the Cliffhanger, he had a final show set up as well as a season ender. The network then decided to cancel it, since no one was watching it.
