It does brings up a pet peeve of mine. Lawns and golf courses. If the resources used for lawns and golf courses in the US were turned to food production we could end world hunger. Ten times more pesticides per acre are used on them than on crop land. I don't golf, but why must golf courses be green? The first and most famous, 'St. Andrews' is one big sand trap.
